A couple of years ago, Jacob Mielnicki was diagnosed with late-onset epilepsy after miraculously surviving a violent car accident when he had a seizure at the wheel. While navigating life, job, and health challengings, Jacob rekindled an interest in origami, folding over a 1000 cranes, a symbol of healing. He later donated most of the cranes to friends and random strangers. This year Jacob has chosen The Trevor Project to receive donations from proceeds of sales of his beautiful hand-folded rainbow origami cranes for Pride month.

The cranes are created from authentic Kami papers, Chinese mandala knotting cord and include a pony bead tail. Each string of six cranes is $30. He's donating $15 from each sale and his employer is matching his gift, so 100% of the $30 spent will end up supporting this amazing suicide-prevention organization for at-risk LGBTQ+ teens. Jacob is excited to partner with The Bunker to showcase his rainbow origami for June Pride!
